In his presentation of the rundown of the workshop, the Inspector Coordinator General in charge of the teaching of Computer Sciences, Mr. FOMBOH Julius FOMBUTU, thanked the Minister of Secondary Education, Professor Nalova Lyonga for her vision for technology adoption in Secondary Education. He went further to explain that “This seminar is taking place in a context marked by two (02) major changes impacting pedagogy in our education system. On the one hand, there is a drive to master the new pedagogical paradigm implemented in Secondary Education: that is the Competence Based Approach (CBA) and on the other hand, there is the overhaul and reinforcement of computer science syllabuses. To respond to the former, the computer Science syllabi have seen their presentation format evolve with the introduction of families and examples of life situations, categories and examples of actions, and teaching resources. While for the later, the content has been reinforced.”

In order to guarantee the achievement of the set objectives, the seminar was structured around two main phases: Training and the immediate practice on the field. As such, it is not just a purely theoretical exchange, but the knowledge acquired shall be immediately tested on the field.
